What about the other provinces and cities in Thailand?

 

There are 76 provinces in Thailand and I have eaten vegan food in around fifty of them. In this section I have listed all of the jey restaurants that I have found in other provinces that I feel are good enough to warrant writing about.

 

Almost all of the large provinces will have standard Thai vegan (jey) stores, even if it is only the one. The provinces that are more likely to have vege food on offer are the ones that are populated by Thai-Chinese people. The North Eastern areas are the least likely to have vege food, but you will find some.

 

On the islands and in the tourist areas, you will find more Western style vegetarian restaurants catering for tourists rather than locals.

 

Chiang Mai is undoubtedly the easiest province to find vege food, but there are some very good vege eateries to be discovered in other provinces as well.
