The Loving Hut is an excellent vegan restaurant chain with several branches in Bangkok and other provinces. Unfortunately, they don’t have a branch in Chiang Mai but while I was in Bangkok I made sure that this restaurant got my visit.

 

The first thing to know is that this particular branch is a little tricky to find as it isn’t in the kind of area to find a restaurant but then perhaps is is just that I am not very familiar with Bangkok. If you are not either then I would suggest that you do what I did which is to get a taxi and call the restaurant and ask the driver to speak to them, as it doesn’t seem that easy to spot especially at night.

 

The restaurant is quite modern and very white and bright. I would call it plain except that they have a lot of decorative stuff around for example posters with quotes made by famous people about vegan/vegetarianism or general vegan promotion.

 

The menu is quite large and has a lot of tasty Thai and Chinese dishes. The food is really delicious but be prepared that there is a lot of fake meat and chicken which I know some vegans don’t really prefer. However, this is avoidable. The quality of the dishes and the range of choices is impressive and it’s a relief to know that everything is 100% vegan.

 

They also sell a range of products which even includes vegan dog food which we found that to be a really nice touch that we have not seen before.  We likee their slogan ‘Be Vegan. Make Peace.’

 

We found it really interesting to learn that Loving Hut also has branches worldwide. What a shame that there isn’t a branch in Chiang Mai! Let's keep hoping someday they'll open one!
