Santosa is a detox and wellness centre on Kata Hill just outside of the main centre of Kata, Phuket. They have an amazing restaurant which serves only vegan and raw vegan food. Their food contains no animal ingredients except honey in one of the desserts but the lovely Italian chef told me that she is transitioning to using coconut flower syrup instead!

The menu here is not huge but they have some very creative and interesting dishes and they taste truly delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed every meal that I had here. Every bite was exquisite. When I learnt that they are doing a special international food from around the world menu for the vegetarian festival that was on at the time of my stay, I made a special effort to go back and try it. If you stay anywhere at all in Phuket it would be an injustice not to make it here to try their wonderful food.

They also have vegan desserts which are just as amazing as the main courses and starters.

Prices might be a little on the high side but you cannot except food of this calibre to come cheap. They also serve alcohol here and the wine is not too expensive. They stay open in the evening too and so you can have your dinner with a view.

I can’t wait to come back to Phuket next time and eat at Santosa again.
