I could hardly believe it when I heard about this place, a 100% non dairy bakery selling the classic desserts and items that are found in an average bakery! A dream come true! I was so excited to try this place out, and it did not disappoint me, no, not one bit!

The main problem with this bakery is deciding what to get. They have a huge abundance of desserts and sweet things ranging from cinnamon breads to doughnuts, cakes and cheesecakes, ice-creams, sundaes, waffles, cookies, truffles and biscuits and even a raw vegan selection. You will be spoilt for choice and you will be amazed. There are pages upon pages of options making it too many to capture so I've just given you a flavour in the gallery below.

The food tastes so exquisitely good that you won't believe this isn't the real thing. Every bite of my sundae dessert was absolute heaven. Smooth, rich, creamy, mmmm. Sheer delight. This was everything that I'd hoped it to be - and more! My non-vegan fellow friends also enjoyed it just as much as me.

The owner of this restaurant is a wonderful lady who really appreciates her customers and makes them feel special. She is also an avid animal activist who makes it clear that she will not tolerate animal products on her premises at all.

This really is for those with a sweet tooth, everything is very sweet and delicious. I have also heard that they are introducing a new line of savoury items! I would say it's like a 'normal' bakery except vegan, but it is better than that. It is like a top class bakery with everything that you could possibly think of, they will have it. Bonus: it's all vegan!!!! They also have a large selection of coffees, teas and drinks as well as dry snacks and other things that you can take away.

If only the traffic wasn't so bad... I might have considered relocating to Bangkok purely for the sake of this bakery! Take me BACK!

Edit May 2015: There is now a second take away only branch of Veganerie in Em Quartier Shopping Mall Bangkok. When are we going to get a branch in Chiang Mai?!
