There are several Thai style vegan restaurants in Lampang but this particular one is the best by far. It is very noticebale from the road and the shop is big. It is right in the centre of town near the clocktower opposite Baan Chiang Rai Temple.

 

The first thing is that whilst these Thai style 'jey' stores can be rather rustic, this one is completely the opposite. It is new, bright, clean and nicely decorated. There is quite a large array of buffet dishes to choose from and they still have plenty even when the day is getting on. They open every day and also have long opening hours from very early until later than what these shops tend to close.

 

The food is very tasty and not too oily like the food some of these types of stores tend to serve up. They also have lots of snacks and fried things as well as the standard dishes. The workers were also very welcoming and friendly. Prices are very cheap and the portion sizes are good.

 

They also have 'eggless' bakery items within the store although these do unfortunately contain some milk which is the only fault we would have with this store. We're not sure why jey stores would use dairy when it isn't allowed in the Thai jey diet.

 

The main dishes and snacks however are completely vegan.

 

This is a really good find in Lampang. I haven't noticed it before so it must be new. Check it out if you're down this way.
